I don’t have time to spend hours shopping, nor do I want to. My home staging business takes me to the stores often enough, scouting out the best pieces for the lowest price…over and over again. Yes, shopping, at times, is my job.
So when I discover a unique source that offers one-of-a-kind pieces at incredible prices, saving me the time of scouring stores, resale shops, internet sites, etc, for the coolest things for my home and business, I am a happy camper 🙂
You’ll see a few links in this post that will take you to the site I am discussing. If you click on the link and then purchase something, I will earn a small commission. (Just wanted you to know.)
Antique Farm House is one of those jewels. Created, owned and curated by two sisters with a passion for decor and design, with the eye to spot a treasure, they believe that customers should be catered to and enjoy a well designed home without spending a fortune. Read more of their story here.
Their finds are offered on a daily basis, similar to other curated sites, communicated via email at the same time every day, with a new, themed sale event. Many items offered in the sale event are individually curated, so once it is sold, it’s gone…a compelling reason to stop everything and check out the daily sale event as soon as you possibly can!
Each sale event has a unique theme. Here are a few of the current sale event offerings as I write this post:
Add graceful style and vintage charm to your home with these timeless accent pieces from The Collected Home
Accent decor for your bedroom that’s full of style, dimension, texture and opulence. Blush Bedroom…love it.
Turn a small, unused space in your home into a cozy reading nook with these stylish decor items curated for The Reading Nook. (I would have to have that lamp, but someone else already bought it…bummer.)
Now, you might be thinking that the style of decor pieces offered won’t work in your home. After all, you don’t live in a farmhouse, collect antiques or style your home in a rustic or country theme. I don’t either.
My home is a casual, eclectic mix of simply styled pieces with a variety of textures and elements. Here are a couple of photos of my living area…nothing fancy, not picture perfect, but comfortable for me.
When I took a closer look at the sales events at Antique Farm House, really looked at the pieces individually, I saw some awesome and unique decor items that would compliment my existing style without taking me too far down the rustic road.
Here is what I have ordered (still waiting for delivery so I’ll show you the photos from the website:
I love the curves and simple styling of this 24″ wide shelf. It can be used just about anywhere in the home…I haven’t decided yet where it’s going to go, but I already love it, especially since the cost was just $22.
Isn’t he adorable? Perfect for serving crackers…or anything else that will fit in the slim opening. I have to admit that I’m not a big entertainer, so I won’t be talking about how the little guy was the hit at my last dinner party. But he’ll be out on display somewhere, probably serving a functional purpose (he can display more than just food, you know), looking adorable! Oh, and he cost a mere $20
I was quite excited to find this piece, most likely to add to my staging inventory. It’s 24″ round and about 20″ high, so is a very versatile piece…coffee table, end table, accent piece…in just about any room of a home. The styling is timeless, so I’ll be able to use it in a Contemporary, Transitional, Casual or Rustic home. Very excited to see this one, and the all-in cost including shipping was $116. Yes, I have plans for this little piece 🙂
I’ll update this post after receiving my pieces and let you know what I think. But I’m pretty sure they’re going to be awesome.
So, how about you? If your style lends itself to more rustic, natural, organic living, Antique Farm House is a perfect fit.
An eclectic home would surely benefit from a statement piece or two, as would a more transitional, even contemporary style. I love to see one or two accent pieces in a home that really catch the eye.
So, take a look at Antique Farm House and browse some of the daily event sales. My advice would be this: do more than a couple of seconds perusal. Look at the pieces offered individually, and my guess is that you’ll fall in love with at least one item, maybe more. And, it could be habit forming…just so you know. Have fun!
